FOR EVERY KIND OF BEAST AND BIRD, OF REPTILE AND SEA CREATURE, CAN BE TAMED AND HAS BEEN TAMED BY MANKIND.

As beekeepers, the tiny farm understands the crucial role that bees play in our planet's ecosystems. Our bees are not only fascinating creatures to observe, but they are vital for pollinating the crops that we grow on our farm.

By keeping bees, we contribute to the health and biodiversity of our local environment. Bees play a crucial role in the reproductive cycles of many plant species, including those that provide habitat and food for other wildlife. By maintaining healthy and thriving bee populations, we help to support a healthy and diverse ecosystem on our farm and beyond.

We are committed to protecting and supporting these vital pollinators. We work hard to maintain healthy and thriving bee populations, providing them with the food, water, and shelter they need to thrive. We believe that by taking care of our bees, we are also taking care of our planet and our community.

Clover Honey

Clover Honey is a variety of honey made by honeybees. As the name suggests, bees make this type of honey by collecting nectar from clover (Trifolium) flowers.

Bees make clover honey by collecting nectar from clover flowers, bringing it to their hives, and sealing it in honeycombs. Clover honey stored in beehives hardens into a sort of thick wax which we harvest periodically throughout the year.

While clover honey isn’t particularly rich in vitamins and minerals, it does have a lot of antioxidants. As a lighter-colored honey, it has fewer antioxidants than darker varieties. Still, it’s particularly high in flavanols and phenolic acid, two anti-inflammatory antioxidants known for providing several health benefits such as improving heart health and protecting the central nervous system.

Wildflower Honey

Wildflower honey, in particular, is highly beneficial due to its diverse mix of nectar sources. Bees collect nectar from various wildflowers in their foraging range, which results in a honey that contains a wide range of beneficial compounds.

Rich in antioxidants, wildflower honey helps protect the body against free radicals that can cause cellular damage. It also has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, making it an excellent natural remedy for coughs, sore throats, and other respiratory issues.

At the tiny farm, we believe in the power of raw wildflower honey and its ability to support our health and well-being. By offering raw wildflower honey for sale, we hope to provide our customers with a healthy alternative to processed sweeteners, while also supporting the health of our bees and the biodiversity of our local ecosystem.

the community hive

We believe in the power of community and collaboration. When we run out of our own honey stock, we turn to our friends within our "hive" - other local beekeepers and farmers - to source raw and liquid wildflower honey to supplement our supplies.

By doing so, we not only continue to provide our clients with the high-quality honey they expect from us, but we also benefit other local farms by supporting their bee populations and boosting their crop production.

This approach aligns with our mission of uniting permaculture farming practices with family nutrition and local economic development. We believe that by working together, supporting each other and sharing resources, we can create a more vibrant, sustainable, healthy and resilient local economy that promotes the well-being of the community.
